EMPEROR "Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk"

This is the Emperor's second Full Lenght, out in July 8th, 1997. The Cover Art used on this album is another illustration by Gustave Doré, from the "Lost Paradise". The Line-up used for this Album was: Ihsahn on Main Lead Guitars, All Vocals, Synth, Samoth on Lead and Rhythm Guitars, Alver on Bass Guitars and Trym on Drums and Percussion.

In My Opinion this is the Album which lead the new sound of the Contemporary Black Metal in the worldwide. No one did that kind of music before and of course, Emperor did that succesfully. This album has a Neo-Classical sounds and the remastered 1998 version include bonus tracks like In Longing Spirit, Opus A Satana (Classical Instruments), The Loss and Curse of Reverence (Live) and The Loss and Curse of Reverence (Multimedia Video).

The opening to "Ye Entrancemperium" was written by Euronymous from Mayhem, one of my favourite songs like "Thus Spake The Nightspirit", "The Loss And Curse Of Reverence" and of course "With Strength I Burn" which is one of the best songs by Emperor in the Black Metal scene.

This Album is as "In the Nightside Eclipse", one of the best Black Metal Albums ever made. Really fast tempo, perfect harmonies with a blasting sound, excellent Vocals & Lyrics, so I rate this Album 5.0 and highly recommended Black Metal Masterpiece.
