There is already a red or green indicator whether the user is online or not.
To avoid misunderstandings in chat it would be nice to have a flag left of nickname that can be changed to "busy" or "afk" to indicate chatters if it´s reasonable to wait for an answer or to address one person directly in chat.
Often chat "is dead" a while or logged ppl don´t reply over a long time.
We all know those flags are often used in IRC and I find em quite helpful to check before starting a conversation.

I voted yes... but usually check the log. Ive seen no chat action for like 6 hours... so i dont bother to chat. |

I think it's a good idea, but I often forget to log off when I leave. Wouldn't my flag still show me as active?
Also, I don't chat. I find the chat here contentious and annoying. At times I literally sit on my hands to stop myself commenting.

I must say that i find this a very good idea  ,
coz i don't use my computer only to listen music
and so i'm not most of the time on the DFM-main.

same here, i use my computer for other things as well which mean that i am using a different program or on a different tab and my hands busy at the same time quite often. this is a good idea imo voted yes  |
