Heyho outthere,
i have a problem while listening to death fm... i don't know if the problem is localized on my pc. I have the feeling that some of the songs are much more quite than others. Even within the same album some times! I ripped a some songs to check it and the problem is still there!
Could this come from some codecs or something?
some example songs to check it:
Very quiet:
Beneath the massacre - Mechanics of dysfunction - 2 - societys disposable son
Normal volume or loud:
Beneath the massacre - Mechanics of dysfunction - 3 - the systems failure |

I get quietness from CD to CD but I think thats the production values of each individual album. I've never had a problem with tracks from the same album being quieter than others.
Not much of an answer to your question is it but maybe one of the tech-heads will be able to answer properly.

i noticed an overpeak on the RIP mp3 stream, even when i turn down the OS output (input to the PC monitor boxes) there is a overturning giving the sound a unsharp edginess. The Level often is up to the top, e.g. you tube only gets 80% of the max. peak.
Can u plz check the thnx

I just use this DSP plugin...It works on Winamp, QMP and XMPlay(my new favorite). It's an sound enhancer and volume leveler, works great, I never have issues with too soft or too loud.

Correct, although some rippers give the option to use dsp effects, but that is based on the player, I've never done that before. |

I don't like DSPs for ripping music. DSPs modify waveforms, then on using them to rip, one is recording a modified source.
I like the get the most original source I can. Then, to use it (listen, burn a CD, put on a MP4, etc) I can use a DSP. |
