please split the Request forum into metal-style sections

I was ready for vote when read that Misanthrone was asking for this. I agree cause, many times it's boring to search for the genre that i/other person likes. I know there's the genre in the title of each post, but it would be easier if the request forums gets classified by genres. Imo the votes or comments will be useful than now, so each member clicks what he likes, not what appears like new post red flag.

Sure, "it will be easier and useful for each taste", Azdra,
but for me it goes without saying that i would make decisions about "my" music,
just as i make decisions about all things that impact my life.
I take the salad... Cool Peace

i say no, as long as the genre is posted in the thread name.
even if its not, i still say no..

i fear this may lead to a overwhelming amount of crapcore requests, by seperating the blackmetal/doomers from the noobs

The problem with this, as other people have pointed out, is that people will not visit the forums of genres they don't like.

It is better to have it all in one place, so that all the requests can be seen, rather than just the select genres that people prefer.

I completely agree Yes

Imo it would be more objective if we all vote for something we like and know clearly, cause people uses to vote "no" for the genre they don't like, and don't care if the band has good quallity or not.

And then you're only getting votes from those people.

DFM plays a variety of genres, and people listen to all of them, thus they should view all of the different requests.

Separating by genres would instill a lack of merit in the request polls as everything would more likely than not receive 100% yes votes, since people won't visit genre request sections they don't like.

And then what about sub-genres?

Blackened Death, prog death, prog black/death, gothic/doom/death, funeral doom, symphonic, etc.

There's too many sub genres that don't fit into a specific genre and having so many genre forums would by moronic.
