Well, although I also prefer some international brands (like Heineken, Amstel or Guiness), most of the time I drink some local (romanian) beers like:

URSUS - One of the best Romanian Beers
STEJAR - (translated: The Oak) - it's a strong beer, 7%, and has a unique strong taste OK!
TIMISOREANA (the local beer from the town i live in).

@Pesa: hahahaha as simple as that!

@zarqun: hum, I saw this Duvel in a market here, but it is way to expensive... Anyway, I'll try it!

The one I drink the most is Miller Lite, it's ok, much better than anything Bud makes. I also enjoy Moosehead Lager, some Sam Adams and most any hefenwieser. Used to drink hard alcohol more, but then I landed in the Hospital for alcohol poisoning, so I stick to beer now. Silly

@Damien: definitely try it, it's a beer of a medium strength (8.5% of alcohol)

the description of its taste: Duvel has a fruity dry aroma, owed to the finest hops, that reminds experts like Michael Jackson of Poire William concerning its bouquet and pallet. Its dry but still alcohol-sweet flavour makes the beer an excellent thirst-quencher, with a pronounced hop aroma. Thanks to the balance between a fine aroma and subtle bitterness, this beer occupies a unique position in the rich Belgian Beer tradition. Duvel is the perfect companion for appetisers, digestives and every other occasion.

I love it

Hmmmm....Beer.......

I'm big on Imperial Stouts, e.g, Old Rasputin (it's about 9%)

Furthermore, anything (1) over-the-top, (2) *strong*, and (3) did I mention over-the-top?

Dogfish Head Brewery makes a pretty good Imperial IPA - the 90 minute is ~9.5%, but I've got a bottle of the the 120 minute (only 12oz.) that's about 18%....

That said, until payday, I'm drinking the national beer of Texas: Lonestar!! (it's brutal! Very Happy)
