Actually its better to thank satan, he influences black metal (most but not all) not god. And god is an alien from another universe, his real name is Tommy.  |

Well, to be a "satanist" does sort of "require" christianity. But I also read LaVeys Satanic Bible and stuff. While Aleister Crowley was mostly some sort of "hardcore rebel", LaVey "preached" some sort of human nature but put the mark "satanism" on it.
The one way or the other, Satanists mostly are not the sort of people many people think or the media/church wants you to believe they are. The "blood drinking, baby/human sacrificing" Satanism was - as far as I know - invented by the catholic church.
