I stole this topic from efm (one of our sister sites)
Explain what your nickname means
My name is a combo of my favorite type of music (Death Metal) and my Job Paramedic.

Hej,
On irc some years ago (when IRC wasn't as boring and dead as today), I was pissed each time I had one nickname (the stupid ones stolen from famous comics/movies/songs/bands) I couldn't use it cause others picked up the same (you can't register a nick).
So I build my nickname the scandinavian way (still used in iceland), adding -son or -sen to my father's first name (in iceland -dottir for girls).

Cool, D_M Smile

I was an UT (classic, 2003, 2004) maniac. Pesadelo is my nick @ UT rooms.
"Pesadelo" is the portuguese word for "nightmare".
Today I keep my addiction playing afterhours @ office with others developers (one or two times a week).
But now "Pesadelo" belongs much more to DFM than to UT. OK!

Dami is a short form for Damien, which I got during a satanic baptisement. Others included "Curt Cobain" (only used by one person during a period of a few days, about 9 years ago when I began to grow my hair... had this Kurt Cobian length), Colonel (which came by some illiterate which wasn't able to understand the english language properly; I owned a military jacket with patches from the film "Aliens II" (Colonial Marines) and he just read "Colonel".

My girlfriend who was with my to that time had some ... ehr... special names for me, you know that shit like "Scheisserchen", "Dömel" or the very charming "Bierfaß".

I came up with VileVince simply because it was easy and sounded good. My highschool friends sometimes called me Vinchenzo. When I was young my cousin used to call me VJ, my middle name is John.

A long time ago I needed to come up with a name for Wolf ET, I was unisnpired and wrote down madman.

When I came to register fo this site, I saw a user named Waffen_SS, I thought he was the same Waffen_SS from the server I play at, so I decided to call myself madman here too.

Turns out they are two different Waffens.
