Im so fucking excited for the new ivy bridge... they are gonna be released at the average prices of the current gen. Lol ivy bridge for $200? And the new Nvidia 600 series is coming up and that means most of the other cards will drop in price. im really curious to see what Nvidia will come up with. As of now the HD6990 is king... 590 cant keep up with it and AMD hasen't released the 7990. Next 3 months are gonna be pretty baller. The i5 2500k is still slightly better then AMDs bulldozer ( lol?) so i cant wait for the new one.
Good opportunities to build a nice gaming system for good prices. |

I built an AMD system OC'd to 3.9GHz in November with SLI 570s for around $1500.
Runs Skyrim at full max settings at >60 fps.
So I don't believe a new bangin system is necessary just yet. Maybe next year, but even Diablo 3 won't need anything spectacular. Although, it'll have to be with Intel, since AMD is dropping their desktop CPUs.

I have an e8400 oc to 4GHz per core and a GTX260 Core 216 OC to 750MHz and i can run Skyrim in ultra 1080p with 2k textures... not impressed bro. |

So far the "theoretiacal" bench markf or the Ivy Bride isnt much more then the current lineup. And the 6990 is better then the GTX590. With Nvidia coming out witht he 600 seires im curious to see what the 7990 will have. becyase AMd is waitng.

The whole point of it all is the prices for previos hardware will be plummeting... good chance for building a new PC. |
