Top marks from beginning till end

Individual Thought Patterns continued the complex and very technical side of metal that the previous album Human had already shown. In my book ITP is one of the best metal albums of all time, together with the following album from Death, Symbolic.
Most (if not all) of Death's music is written single-handedly by Chuck Schuldiner, and the musicianship he posesses is simply second to none. Eventhough this is death metal, the riffs found on ITP are very diverse, with influences from thrash, prog and more.
Apert from Chuck Schuldiner on guitar, the lineup consist of:

Andy LaRocque - guitar
Gene Hoglan - drums
Steve DiGiorgio - bass

In my opinion this is one of the best lineups any band has ever had. All 4 are solid names in the metal community and combined they've created a masterpiece that set a standard so high, it would be almost impossible to top that.
