Given the well known tech mastery of this band and the influence on the genre , what would you aspect from Origin?

Add a little grind , slam and arpeggios to refresh the sound ?

That's what they've done .

But does it really embody the essence of Origin?

A very good album , one of the best of this year but...does it really equals the magic of "Antithesis"?
