How to convert wife to Metal?

When we drive in the car, its pop/R&B... Evil or Very Mad

I change the station to the local rock when I can't stand another minute ... which is not much better. But, it always reverts back to her tunes eventually.

For long road trips, I put in the ear bud just to drown out the noise she plays.

Have any of you been able to convert a Metal hater??

I know this will never happen... however I can always dream. OK!

Start her out with stuff like HIM, the newer Katatonia, stuff like that, then gradually get heavier, maybe some MDB and that ilk. Worked for me.

Chicks dig Black Metal, so start her off with some gay shit like Alcest, then introduce her to Destroyer 666 and so forth. She might never dig Meshuggah, but it's all about the art of the possible.

You arent gonna convert them. I was with Chantel and i went thru a list of metal bands. Not a fucking thing, i gave up. That why i bought bose headphones, i can block all of that bullshit out.

I started my wife with The Ramones, Motley Crue,Guns and Roses. Eventually DIO, Iron Maiden. She likes Sepultura and DevilDriver.

What a fabulous thread! I am a tolerator of metal, I don't truly enjoy it. It's funny that someone said chicks love Black Metal, because that is my favorite if I have to listen. I think women enjoy singing along to songs and metal just isn't that possible to sing with.

I started with Type O and Nine Inch Nails. I would say chicks dig Industrial. I enjoy Epica and Leaves Eyes too.

JERIC makes fun of me because I can fall asleep at metal concerts. But the important thing is spending time together and showing an interest. Tell your girl that she gets 1 hour of her tunes in the car and then you get 15 minutes. Use your 15 minutes wisely and play things to introduce her. Next road trip you get 30 minutes, until it's even.

Great idea's everyone. I am going to go through all my tunes and see if I have some of the suggestions. I am going to have to get some more black metal... that is for sure.

Dark - As much as I am dreaming... I think my fate will be much like yours... how much were those headphones?
