I propose a more comprehensive search for the playlist. I would like to be able to, for example, search for a genre in a particular year; say Death Metal released in 2012.
Also maybe adding the country to the band info so one could search for Germany Death Metal, for example.
There are sooooo many bands/albums/songs on here I think it would help to filter the search with these new criteria. |

Country option has already been requested before long time back. Not sure if it will get added.
As for the search, there are many ways to search and not many are aware of how to do it. For searching all Death Metal albums released in 2012 do the following:
a. Choose "Genre" from the search drop down box.
b. Enter "Death Metal" in the search box.
c. Do not click on "Search" button.
d. Choose "2012" from the "Year" drop down box.
e. Vola!!!
Similarly there are many other combinations that are available, it's just a question of trying them out.

Actually, all you need to do is follow the following steps:
1. on the Playlist/Requests page, choose "Genre" from the "Search" drop-down
2. type the name on the genre in the search box
3. instead of clicking on the "Search" button, choose a year from the "Year" drop-down
Voila! You will get only the albums matching the genre you asked for and that were released in the year you chose. This also works with "Artist" and "Album" letter drop-downs.
