STONE MAGNUM release three song promo, Prepare to enter studio

Indiana based Dictators of Doom, STONE MAGNUM, have released a three song promo featuring updated tracks from their debut full length. These three songs have been updated in order to give STONE MAGNUM fans a chance to hear their new vocalist Nick Hernandez (ex-Dysphoria, ex-Kommandant) and new bassist Ben Elliot (ex-Afterlife, ex-Lordes Werre) for the first time. The promo is available now for free download on their bandcamp page here: http://stonemagnum.bandcamp.com

STONE MAGNUM are preparing to enter the studio to record their second full length album tentatively set to be released spring 2013. Title and release date are yet to be confirmed.

STONE MAGNUM's self titled debut was exclusively released on 12" LP earlier this year by R.I.P. Records and can now be ordered through the bands website: http://www.stonemagnum.com

"The sharpness and blatant heaviness of Stone Magnum seems to simply belittle any similar bands vying in vain to capture some of the bandwagon glory of modern-day doom/stoner metal." Chris - www.metalpsalter.com

"All in all this is a superb album to check out if you fancy a modern Sludge/Stoner Metal album with references to the good old days of 70's Doom Metal. And I applaud the band for bringing back a little bit of history to their music." The Sludge Lord

"If you are fan of bands like TROUBLE, SOLITUDE AETURNUS, CANDLEMASS and SORCERER buy this right away. 8/10" Vangelis "Hellion" Ekonomou - www.metalkaoz.com

Formed in the Fall of 2010, Michigan City, Indiana's Stone Magnum erupted onto the Northwest Indiana/Chicago heavy metal scene. Stone Magnum's founder, Dean Tavernier, also guitarist of RIP Records/Pure Steel Recording artists, Skullview, along with drummer "Mad" Brad Toth, were intent on offering metal music that was traditional, powerful, hook laden, and timeless in appeal. With influences from legendary bands such as Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus, Trouble, Candlemass, Judas Priest, and Pentagram, Stone Magnum were regarded as the most promising Doom/Metal band to arise from Northwest Indiana.
After releasing a 3 song Demo, and undergoing a series of lineup changes, Tavernier and Toth were joined by Jim Brucks (Black Rhoades, Quadra) and bassist Marty Buchaus (Black Rhoades, Latent Fury) and recorded the debut Stone Magnum self titled vinyl LP. Released by Chicago's RIP Records in February 2012, this limited edition release was met with high praise in the doom metal community.
To further their agenda of World Doomination, Stone Magnum recruited longtime Chicago Metal scene frontman, Nick Hernandez (Dysphoria, Kommandant) to take over as the permanent voice of Stone Magnum. At the same time, Buchaus had to depart the band, and was immediately replaced by four stringer Ben Elliot (Afterlife, Lordes Werre).
Stone Magnum have appeared on several US heavy metal festivals, including Warriors Of Metal Open Air, Ragnarokkr Metal Apocalypse, and Days Of The Doomed Festival. Stone Magnum are actively gigging and are currently writing the much anticipated follow up to their debut album.
