aka Xasthur.
Well, he released his first album since shutting down Xasthur, the band name is Nocturnal Poisoning (remember that name?) and the album is "Other Worlds of the Mind". Released last year to very little fanfare, it is all acoustic guitar, some slight drumming and no vocals. Very, very odd turnaround.

I saw Scott on some documentary on depressive one man black metal. Thats a pretty bad way to go. He totally abandoned the metal scene completely!

I believe he was tired of the mountains of crap being labled black metal, especially "depressive" black metal that has been generated over the past few years. It has severely diluted the genre, one which he more or less was a pioneer in. I fully understand where he is coming from, I quit listening to new black metal albums a year or 2 ago with rare exceptions. It has gotten to the point where any kid with a halfway decent computer and the right, easily obtainable FREE software can record an album in his shitty little apartment somewhere in Europe or America and call it black metal or more often than not, depressive black metal. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.
his latest album sucked badly so time to move on, good idea _________________ None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free - Goethe

I am not a fan of depressive black metal. Most of it doesnt even sound like standard black metal, and comes off as almost sounding "emo".

Yep, the genre got overloaded with depressed 18 year olds sitting in mommy's basement with their computer and midi software. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.
