Hailz everyone,
i thought it would be nice to have an irc(or other) chat here(besides or instead of the current one). I think its not very hard to implement a web-based client on the site. The little chatbox we have now is not very handy and clear esp. when many users do chat.
My other thought was that it also would be cool if we could filter the playlist additionally after genres. I know that this would be lot of work and would bring up lots of ceaseless discussions about what band is what genre. But since there is already a line called Genre in the album info(where all albums are signed as metal  ) this line would make sense :P
Wonder what you guys think about this.

1. We're happy with the chat the way it is.
2. More specific genres is something I've been wanting to do but like you said it is a lot of work for little returns. Not out of the question but certainly a low priority.

Still a little suggestion concerning the chat: on my pc it is not possible to scroll down so i only see only about 20 lines of what is going on. Checking the forum while participating in a conversation can totally ruin the conversation, so that is why i was wondering:
is it possible to have the chat box appearing on all (or most of the) pages of the site? Or would that screw too much of the design of the other pages?
would a scroll down function be possible so as to be able to read more the chat?
These are only minor things, though. This is by far THE best thing on the net for metalheads loving the darker side of music  keep it up!!

The scrollbars are disabled to allow more visible chat.
Please try the Log or Undock links to reveal more.

Ok, just imagine this purely hypothetical situation: you're joining in a conversation, have to leave for whatever reason for half an hour, and then you want to pick up what has been said during that half hour... hey, it was just an idea

You can, just click on the "Log" button in the chat window.

Yes, thanks, i already tried that after Jeric's suggestion, and it works like a charm
but i was just replying to 'foot...', explaining why i had asked the question... Thanks for the help guys!
