MTV2 is preparing to roll out a third Headbangers Ball tour, with a lineup of Cradle Of Filth, Arch Enemy, Bleeding Through and Himsa. The tour begins Nov. 4 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, N.J., and will include more than 30 dates, wrapping Dec. 15 at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C.
This Headbangers tour follows yesterday's (Sept. 28) release of the two-CD compilation "Headbangers Ball, Vol. 2" on Roadrunner Records.
Hosted by Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed, MTV2's "Headbangers Ball" can be seen every Saturday night. On Nov. 6, MTV2 will air a special tour edition of Headbangers Ball featuring appearances by all the bands on this fall's trek.

Previous installments of MTV2's Headbangers Ball tour have done sellout business. Bands that have participated in past tours include Hatebreed, Damageplan, Drowning Pool, Unearth, Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Shadows Fall and God Forbid. Joe Armenia, VP of music marketing and promotion at MTV and MTV2, says they're not tinkering with the formula. "This is a case that the wheel is not broken -- in fact, it's rolling really well -- so we're not going to reinvent it," Armenia tells Billboard.biz. "The number of dates is about the same; we're playing a mixture of primary and secondary markets, and venues of about the same capacity."
