Today I clicked Station - Listen and I can't see the MP3 format for winamp and others anymore.
Where is it? |

Yes, no more MP3 (except Live365). MP3 is ok for files but really not a viable option for streaming. Now that iTunes and RealPlayer support aacPlus, it is a no-brainer for us to take advantage of this.
FYI anything in the 64k/128k listen options are close to CD Quality regardless of their bitrate. Anyone who listens to 64k aacPlus can testify to its superiority.
Ogg will be leaving us soon too. We will only support WMA and aacPlus in the future.
Also by consolidating our streams it will give us higher placement in radio directories, thus giving us more listeners. We are saving a lot of money in bandwidth and some server resources as well. _________________ "It's all Venger's fault! We oughtta do something about that guy. " -Eric
