I admit I´m slowly overstrained with all those bandnames. The genre search and the personal favorites are a first step to see a light in the jungle.

With all those new updates coming in each month I personally need approx. till mid of month followed up to have at least a first objective view upon the latest adds.

Beside the new stuff not to forget all the good old bands and classical tunes.

So here my question:

beside genre filter would it be possible to already sort the results by ratings top to bottom and maybe show the indicator?!

I know ratings are subjective and not everyone´s favorite band is the communities darling but this would help to have at least a vague indicator about the expectations on a request (cause by name I can´t really say anymore).

This would help also on the updates and in general to spare the shits from the hits and maybe increase queue quality overall.

And thnx again for the already implemented features. Yes

Anybody anxious out there?
Very Happy

I'm not saying "yes" or "no". It is just a discussion: Don't you think that this sort by rating stuff would reinforce a biasing effect?

I'm with Pesa on this one. I suppose that people would be tempted to request from the albums with higher ratings.

Rolling Eyes that´s the indication as I said. It´s a little markstone to get a hold on unknown or new stuff. If it sucks after requesting once everyone is free to downrate it.

Btw this also means u could selecte low rated records just in chance to give em a try on the opposite Wink

I think it's a good idea to be able to search by ratings. I've always wondered what the lowest rated album on DFM is LOL

if someone searches by ratings, then they r not requesting because of the quality or the music they may want but as what "other" ppl rated.
In other words ppl would be req'ing songs more ppl like than the songs they themselves like!!!
it's the nerdy kid trying to fit in syndrome!
or the Do-Do effect "he jumped off the cliff, let's all follow!!"

Let's teach the kiddies to be leaders NOT followers!!
OK!
