A Burger King worker locked his manager in an industrial-sized refrigerator and robbed the fast-food restaurant of 407,000 rubles ($14,000), police said Monday.

The robbery happened Sunday at a Burger King outlet at 2 Nizhnyaya Maslovka in northern Moscow, police spokesman Viktor Maximov said by telephone.

The Burger King manager was discovered by a superior after the robber accidentally activated the alarm, Komsomolskaya Pravda reported on Monday.

Maximov couldn�t say what kind of alarm it was or whether the employee had been arrested.

Maximov did not identify the Burger King worker, saying only that he was "apparently a Central Asian native." He said the worker, if convicted of robbery, faces up to four years in prison.

U.S.-based Burger King opened its first three outlets in Moscow this year.

In an unrelated fast-food robbery, three unidentified tall young men of Slavic appearance stole 7,000 rubles ($240), 28 sausages and the cell phone of the saleswoman at a Stardog!s cafe at 16 Leningradskoye Shosse in northern Moscow at about 4 a.m. on Sunday, Maximov said.

The assailants threatened the saleswoman with "something that looked like a gun" and fled in a white Russian-made car, he said.

If arrested and convicted, the trio could be jailed for up to 10 years, he said.

I would lock up all managers at every junk food shitty restaurant and feed them only their food for a whole year.. and their pop.. I don't think they would resist more than 6 months
