Grafic is already pretty good in many games, but there aren't that many games that really have great storyline. Games like half-life were absolutely awesome to that time, good story, great quality, all in all very interesting. I also liked Vampire : The Masquerade Redemption, mostly because of the easy additions you (new Skins & items) could do by yourself and the great multiplayer-mode - unluckily it had many errors but still very enjoyable story. Would be happy if more games would have a metal soundtrack

The graphics are improving .. which comes at a loss.
Some games seem to have had alot of time dealing with the graphics and left game play in the bin. Doom 3 had good graphics (from what i could see, so dark at times) but the game play wasnt as good. Quake 4 wasn't too bad. good graphics but inturn game play was let down.
To me, bad game play doesn't get your attention so after mucking around and marvelling at the graphics, it quickly gets forgotten about.

well the thing is that the graphics are better but with the storyline is a mess, gameplay is crap with 10's of buttons, less and less fun, and duration , hell there to short.
i remember C&C:Renegade a realy good game it had everything, Medal of Honnor series whare great to.
Max Payne is another great game and the 2nd one is crap, from good to bad. new games, well maybe UT2007 will change that or Quake Wars. in racing games is diferent story, i have fun now then in previous race sims. |

Max Payne
Manhunt
Splinter Cell
Hitman
F.E.A.R.
Battlefield 2
also had much fun with
Warcraft 3
C&C Generals
X-Com: Terror From the Deep
usually the graphic is more than good enough these days. i would like to see more improvement with storyline, a.i., and duration of the games. also more cool coop medes for multiplayer would be nice. |

I said storyline, because if this is good, it can keep me playing regardless of the quality of the graphics, AI or gameplay. Not that the other aspects of the game are les s important. For example, I liked Max Payne, but I really hate the 3rd person perspective in shooters...

why, you can see enemy's from the corner,and you
cant do bullet dodging in 1st person, the idea was
that you cant fly in a room in 1st view.

me, i was addicted to Starcraft... i wasted a lot of hours to playing that stuff... i tried recently to play to warcraft 2, i was addicted to that game too, in my young times, but now it sux too much more, lol, impossible to play

Yup, played Starcraft very often but mostly in my LAN togehter with a few friends. Great level editor, was very easy for me to design very enjoyable missions.

Im actually play xenosaga right now, a quite impressive game and the fucking story vids are long as hell, but even still a good one. And i still have 2 more game to play to complete it.
I just like long games, fighters and racers are good but just dont keep me as curuois as long games would. Im an RPG geek, so sue me. |

Well, I used to play Xenogears on the PSX, but I've never even tried any of the Xenosaga games. I heard they sucked, so I didn't bother buying into any of them.
As for PS2 games, there's always that new Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria that just came out; Maybe Kingdom Hearts/KH2, or you could wait for a bit until FFXII comes out next month.
But I'm off-topic; Anyways, I've been playing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War more often than before; I'm amazed to say that the graphics are still impressive, and gameplay is still fun as shit! I need to get the damn expansion packs though! >_< FUCK! |
