I'm not the most educated metal fan, but I enojoy Filosofem; which, out of the Burzum discography would be best as a follow-up?

It'd be nice to get a listen before buying it (oh, the poor funds...)

Hmmm maybe Burzum/Aske (full length from 1992 incl. Aske-EP, released together on one CD), the rest won't fit too good to the station, at least in my opinion.

Thanks for the suggestion. Filosofem does seem a little out of place next to some of the grindcore that gets played around here Wink

If you liked Filisofem, I'd suggest you to listen to some early albums of Satyricon. "Dark medieval times" is diserable. It's raw and furious true black with some keyboards and flute.
OK!

Ha, yup! In my opinion Mayhem NEVER reached the musical level Burzum reached. But some Mayhem songs like "Pagan Fears" or the legendary "Deathcrush" are great.

Ha, I know at least 8 versions of that song.

I think it is because of the simple riffs, they are catchy.

Burzum has i think most of his stuff here anyways, but maybe you could spread your searches to other bands, f.e. Tristh, drukdh, wigid, strig or how ever those are writteb, yes these are not exactly like burzum,
