Drumming is an important part in a metal bands, especially on extreme metal styles.. there are several great drummers in the metal scene, however, some rise above others.. my fave drummer was Raymond Herrera from Fear Factory, but lately I think Inferno from Behemoth is beating the drums like a monster with 1000 hands.. from the black metal area I like Hellhammer (just listen to the insane drumming on Mayhem - A grand declaration of war and also in Zyklon band) and also Frost from Satyricon..
some others too, but this 4 are by far my faves.. how about U?

hmm i think we had a thread like this before....but i like derek roddy ex drummer of hate eternal... and the brodequin drummer is inhuman fast on the snare :P |

he's ex-Dark Angel, ex-Silent Scream, ex-War God, ex-Death, ex-Testament, ex-Devin Townsend, ex-Strapping Young Lad, ex-Tenet, ex-Opeth (during the Lamentations-tour and during Sounds Of The Underground [he played in the opening-act Strapping Young Lad and in Opeth!!!]), ex-Old Man's Child, ex-Daemon, ex-Unearth and some more less-known bands.
Some of you will also have noticed him in Metalocalypse as part of Dethklok

I forgot his name but the drummer from krisun (think his name is max kolscene) is pretty damn good too aswell... and not to mention frost :P |

OK i have come to the conclusion... the best fucking drummer that has it all ( all as with speed, tech, and dynamics i.e. not doing the same fill over and over) is fucking Inferno. Thats guy is so fucking fast it unreal. He has the speed of derek and george, the blast capabilites of derek and frost, and the dynamics in his fills like a fucking jazz drummer (like virgil donati who is good friends with george and derek) I heard the 1st song sampl of their myspace and im just blew a fucking load in my pants. |
