Hey JERIC i don´t wanna dramatize this thing but since weeks i thought about asking you. Today the homepages of 24seven weren´t reachable for 1/2day which was only the last interception to finally do this.

What is wrong with this new Server? I guess it´s 3 month old now and always causing problems (them are little but daily)

See also :

http://death.fm/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1468

Some things i noticed:

1. First there were little problems with some modules (donatometer, Quoting in forums)

2. The server passes out at least once! a day with a downtime of minimum ¾h! (daily reboot so long?)

3. Several times the server isn´t really down but has problems to synchronize and loses signal (TTL) ->Banner passes out, modules don´t refresh

4. @ 80 listeners the server lames like a duck im general (bandwidth?)

So why are these problems, I just wanna understand?! One argument for the new server was more harddiscspace - now it got the space but stumbles on the software. ?!

thnx for your honesty in advance

As an IT old-whore, I know the inherent difficulties of a server change. But these problems are really killing DFM business.

I understand (and support) Seclu. We are customers here and the communication with us is poor.

As a DFMer, I feel myself a little "abandoned". No mods online, admins almost never, Jeric one time on life and another on death. If you go to SST, the reality is another.

just now:
SST: 85/29/114 2A 1M
DFM: 93/15/108 0A 0M
ENT: 7/1/8 0A 1M

I would think that this is because Brazil's time zone, but on the forums there are the same abandon.

So, please, pay more attention to us!

@Seclu: if you ask me, i'm more worried than upset. fortunately, we didn't have any playlist incidents here. besides, i don't want to put more pressure on Jeric, because i assume he's working on it.

so, what can i say... patience. and no more 4-letter words (e.g. "html"), please

Just a note: All I had said above was not only about this crisis (that will be technicaly resolved, indeed). I took the moment to do a more general complain.

There is some glitch that is being a pain in the ass. The error code that it is giving not to many ppl cover the fixes to them. The station does have its flaws but let me assure you guys that they are getting worked on as fast as possible.(Remember that we have jobs/lives outside DFM and that there is only so much time in the day.) About the Moderators never being on here I try to be on at least an hour a day and I always check the forms daily unless something unusual happens and I cant get online.

I apologize for everyone's inconvenience and frustration. We were attacked pretty hard this weekend and I'm doing my best to get everything back to normal. I will try to keep the communication level higher from now on.

Depressed Yeah JERIC & Medic just heard what happened and my throat grows when i hear some shitheads try to test their capabilities of hacking on private servers. Sorry got emotional on the little things but this is really sad. SST is important contribution with sometimes 700 listeners. I would bet it was someone not wanting music to be streamed (maybe he was payed).

Sorry man, our fullest support, get some sleep \m/,

Thank you, Jeric. Thank you, D_M.

I felt myself unconfortable saying that, but I had to say. You and Mods bring confidence to users, besides you presences be a marketing factor.

You know DFM is my bet. I wish would be capable of help you at this moment.

Btw, very thank you for your response. You have my support.
