This guy has allegedly been making this for what seems like forever. He now claims he's almost done, doing the final editing. Anyone know any more about it? Is this for real or is this guy just some nut? I hope it's for real, could be mandatory.

Well, I heard of a new black metal documentary coming soon, could be this one.
Wikipedia sez:
Films on black metal:
* An independent documentary titled Until The Light Takes Us is currently under development, and plans on exploring black metal's origins and subculture, including "exclusive interviews" and "rare, seldom seen footage from the "Black Circle"s earliest days".
Also interesting:
* Filmmaker Hans Fjellestad had announced plans in 2005 on producing a fictional movie based on the documentary book Lords of Chaos by Michael Moynihan, however, no further details have surfaced since.

Lords of chaos is a great book. It's very well researched and gives an excellent look into the murky underworld of the early 90's. Also has good background info etc etc.
I think a fictional movie based on the black circle days would be fuckin good. But only if Bruce Campbell returned as possessed Ash from the Evil Dead movies.
