I've always been taught that the devil loves it there,
since people hold the belief that they can do all the
shit they want(kill someone?) and make up for it
by attending church. So obviously it's a haven for
true heathens, or a breeding ground for temptation
leading to the sins they preach against. |

I don't know if Satan is real, but his ideals are seen throughout history. Human sacrifice cults, religion creating wars for profit, Hermetic rituals, even the word Holocaust actually means "burnt offering". Clearly Satanists have been controlling human history for millennia. It's the ultimate death worship...

I think what you are referring to is not necessarily ideas of Satan, because there have been figures in other mythologies throughout human history that have the same characteristics. Look at Odin, Shiva, the Sumerian gods, even Greek mythology (Pan, anyone?), the list goes on and on. It's only in our day and age that we use the word "Satan" to pull all these concepts together into one package.
I wouldn't really call Satanism a religion anyway, so much as a philosophy of practical knowledge for the betterment of the individual - by the individual. It's certainly not about human sacrifice, nor animal for that matter. If you had done any reading on the COS, you'd know that its foundation is based on the concept of humanism, and has very little to do with the entity known as Satan; he is simply used as a symbol of anti-Christianity. I am speaking of the LaVeyan official Church of Satan. There are some "esoteric" Satanists who certainly do believe in him, but it's not a part of the official teachings of the COS.
By the way, if you want to see a fucking hilarious movie, get "Satanis: The Devil's Mass" - it's a "mockumentary" about the COS which LaVey and a bunch of his followers put together in the early 70's or late 60's. He totally gets into the whole sham of a Satanic Mass with the whole chanting and torture and naked women's boobs thing heh... You can't tell me that guy didn't have a wicked sense of humor! Once you've seen that your whole idea of Satanism might just change a bit. |

Ah, they're noise bands I see. I thought the bands playing would be more like Genitorturers and stuff like that. I'm not really into noise but I'd probably still go.

Rubber O and Theriman Barney are. Graves Bros are like NoMeansNo. and the others are generally rock.
One year (2001) she had Frank Moore (?) play whos this dude in a wheel chair and he had 3 blind naked ladies lap dance on him while he moaned (or sang). Not very listenable but certainly interesting to watch if only for its oddity.
