i don't wear black because i'm depressed... that's just lame, i just wear black because i like wearing black :s i don't feel good in outfits that are completly coloured |

Wearing black is ok, but looking ridiculous isn't. What's with the make-up in that picture?? It looks like some put a whole layer of white and black on and took a shower or something. Don't try to look evil if you're so fat you have breasts...

i know this is an old thread BUT .. felt this was appropiate about wearing metal.
When I went to see Nile (i was wearing a black nile shirt and jeans) there was some girl who wore all black gothic stuff, gothic eyeliner and even the gothic tear drop on the side of her face and to finish it all off .. she wore inflatable plastic demon wings .. I couldnt help but laugh as the poor girl. Felt like telling her that you dont wear inflatable wings to a death metal gig!

Clothes: such a strange topic in my opinion. people often say, that it doesnt matter, what other ppl wear. but it does! everybody judges ppl by their clothes, and that is quite normal.
but again, clothes are a sign of taste, and everybody has different taste and thus likes different clothes. so why argue or even think too much of clothes? does it matter if you wear black or green or brown or white-purple strifes to listen to metal? i dun think so.
many ppl think it is important to wear as much black as possible to be a real metalhead. but as we can see on that pic above, black doesnt always look evil 
and what do i need wings for in a nile concert???
she liked it, so it is ok for her. but actually, all you need for metal is ears and beer!
beer is much more important! so fuck clothes, go naked if u want, but with a beer in your hand!

You can't really make a final defintion what "true black metal" really is, but for those "living" it, it doesn't have to be pagan (remember, there are also satanists or atheists).
