What is the boundary here on pornographic material?
If jem can't have a avatar with boobs(well it was obviously on the more pornographic side) then why for even bother having
pornogrind and what not in the play list?
And by who's standard does it become inappropriate(usually you know when it is or isn't but still)?
If we're going to start censorshipping like this, then why don't we start
removing anything that is violent, gory, bloody, ah yes and while we're at it remove any artwork in the world that is even the least bit suggestive.(although I doubt you'd call that avatar artwork)

I don't think we should mix music with obscene content. Anyone who wants to use explicit avatars should use them at any time on a pornographic site or forum. This is a radio station. Let's not mix music with porn, please, as long as the musicians never say "we sing about fucking so our audience should fuck right now or else", do they? If you want to take porngrind material literally, it's your problem and I think it's a BIG one. 
DOS maybe you should join a porn community, you won't get censored there

DOS, your question seems authentic at first sight, but we can't forget that DFM is, before anything a radio or a musical site. You don't see pornography, in a visual extent, exposed here. I'm a DFMer a little more time than you and I don't remember, for example, a forum thread filled with pronographic material. I doubt, and others would help me, if it's possible a Metal Song that one would call pornographic.
For our sake, the range of ages here is large and some of us are fathers or grandfathers even. We are proud parents and we like to show to our sons, daughters and grand-* some stuff here. This is a way to be more easily accepted by our families and, also, a kind of attempt to awake the headbanger in our children.
Dude, I'm confident about CJ. If he complained, he has reasons. I said on the other thread that I got embarrassed when Eldes, my son (12 y.o.) and DFMer too see any stuff more "heavy". |

Have you guys seen some of the album covers on this station? If you don't have a problem with animated pornography, or even covers like Akercocke's Goat of Mendes, why complain about an avatar?

While I accept artwork, I don't appreciate the dicks painted on the walls at all. For the simple reason that they are meant to offend and not to express something.

So it shouldn't be taken down because its offensive, it should be taken down because it's not artwork? Let people post whatever they want.
Also, there are a lot of aspects of metal that are "meant to offend". One of the great important things about being a fan of metal is that you can never get offended by anything.

This isn't really up for discussion ALBUM ART IS DIFFERENT BECAUSE ITS AN ALBUM COVER!! We can't control what a band uses for an album cover! But we can control what our members put up here!!! Enough on this subject it has been done and taken care of!
