Damn! I've known about these for a long time, but no way to get them. Finally got ahold of copies of both, they are Valfar at his raw best, still experimenting a little with his sound. I don't know of anywhere where there are samples, but if somehow Jeric can get ahold of these they are MANDATORY! (BTW, they're tapes)

thank you!
Only problem is Jeric may not be able to get these, I had a hell of a time finding them. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

That's one of the problems. Besides, I guess that converting the tape content to digital format is trickier than it may look. At least if you want to get reasonable sound quality.

Just as long as the tape is in good shape I'm able to convert to digital to burn to a cd. Get a little hiss, but that can easily be filtered out with the proper software. The big problem is not that many people have cassette decks anymore. I happen to have a nice Sony deck from way back when, I have both it and my turntable plugged into the computer for conversion of LPs and tapes. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

@CJ: Hmmmm, you remind me of something. I've seen some cool gadgets on ThinkGeek . USB cassette deck and USB turntable. Also the InstantMusic ripper. I was thinking about that noise filtering stuff, but I haven't searched for professional sound editing software.
@Wally: Nothing that can't be done with a good scanner. _________________ diginferno

digi, for my LP conversions I use a Technics SL-Q2 Quartz Phase Locked Direct Drive turntable with a vintage Stanton 681EEE cartridge, plugged into a GLI GLX2800 pre-amp that then goes into the computer sound card. Tapes don't need a pre-amp, just go directly into the sound card. For software I use a wonderful freeware program, Audacity, and for noise reduction I use Depopper software from DAK. It's pretty easy, just time consuming. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.

The Covers shown now are of the Album that the band published or the mixers or what not did. What im syaing is wouldnt it be illegal if a person that wasnt from a band member did it itself? |

@Wally: Frankly, I have no idea. But I assume that there has to be a way to handle this from the station's point of view. _________________ diginferno
