some of the bands are live more faster and brutal than on tv and have a good live performance, e.g. Debauchery and Gorgasm, while otherbands are boring or even can't play their own songs Very HappyVery Happy

Well ive seen Amon Amarth and Vader and both kicked ass live. Whereas Dimmu is live as boring as on CD. The best concert ive been to tho was Kataklysm. They were brutal and fast---thought my balls would fall off

Concerts I remembered as good included Amon Amarth, Vintersorg, Baptism, Irrlycht, Ivory Night, Darkestrah, Sodom, Urn, Hell Militia, Pestnebel, Supplicium, Debauchery, Amorphis, Children Of Bodom, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Naglfar, Belphegor, Vader and Path Of Golconda... I think that were all the gods shows I've been at.

Edit:
To the poll; surely depends on the band but also who does the mixing and if they use some special effects or not. Silly

I never liked concerts very much. I'm one of that like crystal clear records. Further, I don't like crowds.

Nevertheless, there is one band that I would like very, very much to see live: Rotting Christ.

Let's see: Lacrimosa, Silentium, Amorphis, Laibach, Crematory, WASP, Catamenia, Alice Cooper, Marilyn Manson, Samael, Marduk, In Battle, Zonaria, Artisian, Haggard... I hope I didn't forget anyone.

I think it somewhat depends on the band if the live experience is better than the records. Anyway, maybe we shouldn't even compare them this way. The live experience is entirely different, meaning that it's not just the band, there are also the people who attend the event. What can I say, the band can be godlike on stage, but if you get knocked out by some drunk moron, you'll never know that.

I hate those fuckheads that HAVE to smoke in the tightest crowd... I nor a friend of mine has ever been hurt by that but it just pisses you off. If somebody has to consume this very useless and weak drugs then don't do it in the middle of the crowd. Never had a problem with drunk persons although it happened very often that someone couldn't hold his liquor and did a stagedive to the ground. Serves em right.

Morbid Angel was good live, saw them with Pantera on their last tour...
Cannibal Corpse was good, Dark Funeral was very mushy sounding on stage. Iced Earth was fuckin' awesome live OK! . Others weren't bad but weren't that memberable either.

If seen Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Pungent Stench, Opeth, Pantera and Manson (although some im sure will not like manson but meh .. fuck yas! hahaha) All were awesome live. Especially Cannibal Corpse!

Seen videos of cradle of filth live and thought they sounded shit.

Then i've seen the dvd of Iced Earth - Alive in Athens, they seem great live.

Im soon to see Immortal live and so i'll let ya know what i think of them heh.
