I evolved from a monkey and I turned out alright! Its no big deal. I think more can be learnt from the discovery channel than school anyway. I believe in the theory of self-education, let the Romanian kids make up their own minds.

zarqun you forgot one thing those books are all pretty much the same in different words :P all speak about the same stuff xD and all have the same values, another thing is , most of its original ideas are transformations of the anciente pagan ideology and a lot of egipcian influences  i mean at least the bibble and koran are i dont know veda's and tora enouth to speak off. |

this is a tough topic! all this creationism thing happening in the US and now in Romania and also in Europe, is the most stupid thing that could happen! It is like going back to medieval thinking. How could anyone deny evolution? Zarqun is so right! Denying evolution is the same as saying the world is flat or saying that we are not breathing air, because we cannot see it.
Some creationists even think that god himself has hidden dinosaur bones in the earth to give people some work to be done, how stupid is that?
Church has too much power again. and churches start to want more. but that is very very dangerous as it can lead to radical thoughts (as seen in islamic world) and denial of scientific facts.
The bible was nothing new of course, so wasnt the koran. both developed from other and older books. and that is just normal, it is call Intertextuality.
but the most stupid thing is to take everything for true written in holy books. Just because in the bible is written: "if you believe in me, snakes cannot harm you" snakes are not harmless. there is a group in the USA believing that they can play with southpacific rattle snakes, cause they believe in god.
the bible, the qu´uran, the upanishads and the vedas and so on MUST be interpreted. denial of this is again stupid. how could this world be created in six days? how could a woman be made out of a rip of adam? and so on and so on.

In the name of freedom of conscience, let them go play with the snakes. That would be part of the solution to the overpopulation problem.

Acutally it was europe that imported and then proceded to export Christianity to the rest of the world with their brainwashing missionaries.

The question is, what's the difference between believing in the evolution or
in the bible? It's religion, just different kind of god.
Doesn't matter to me, read a lot of books about and had biology advanced
classes, add some opinions by famous philosophers, the result is the
human race is unimportant on this planet, a bunch of fuckin stupid damaging
lying even dumber than monkeys subjects and the only solution is it needs
to die out, annihilation of mankind means end of religion, best case scenario. |

Humans tend to deny what they fear, so we do matter for this plannet, we are its cancer either like it or not, we do take a big toll of this planets history, if we dont consume our selfs in the next 1000 years we will be the ones making the planet history ^^
if it wasnt for humans a lot of stuff on this planet wold be different, althought minor we do represent change in the planets path of evolution etc... |

btw who cares what's on a schools' curriculum, most humans are dumb sheeps
and don't remember things they've learned in school, example: influenza
is caused by a virus, but disease is called "cold" in society, in fact it also
occurs in summer and got nothing to do with temperature, except warm
weather opens the pores in skin, so better conditions for the virus, biology F / 6.
Just let 'em work, they don't need education, religion and the fear of god is
the best way to enslave the masses, knowledge only for those who deserve
'cause using their brains and don't believe in stupid fairytales, decision of
your own free will, very rare virtue among humans. |
