I have question to ask who were in my head for a long time...
I listen Black & Death metal musik since more than one year, so I m a noob, and don t know all we have to know about this..I listen this because I love the technical guitar's sound, fast rythm...
My question..:
All the people who listen this music style are Nazy or racist ?
BEACAUSE i see ALLLLL the time at TV, when they talk about them, all time metal sound, to show to spectators it's bad musik, and metal = Nazi.. :?

When you're watching the tv, they always pick out the biggest idiots IMO. It's not because you like metal (be it black or death metal) that you're a nazi or a racist. These ignorant fucks do exist (sadly enough) but I think the majority just likes the music. |

Most you see in "normal" TV is just dumb shit. Don't try to take it serious. You should despise everyone who thinks metal = bad, nazi, satan and stuff.
Some assholes just want to pick at something, which "could" fit the image of the bloodrinking nazi racist satanist or something like that.

So this question is now a few months old, but i have to reply neverteheless:
This is absolute nonsense!
I think, this mucic style in general is politically neutral, but you will find individuals and bands with all kinds of political positions, just like in normal life. Personally i am very much left wing, just to give you an example. Of course, there are some racist, facist fans and bands, but these are a minority. Just listen to some lyrics of Napalm Death or Sepultura, and you will see, that DM does not mean to be Nazi or racist. |

The media is one big whore. Only take seriously about 25% of what you hear on the news. If you want to learn what metal is REALLY about, get into the local concertgoing scene. Meet other people who are into music like yourself. |
