I figured there should be a good amount of pc savy ppl...I just bought new ram for the pc i have an update from 533 mhz to 800. and im having vrash problems that i never had with the 533. and i cant find any option in the biod to set the ram clock. so i would imagine the board is plug n play. so would i assume that the ram is bad? |

Any dust in the slot? I've fixed many operational errors simply just cleaning things out.
Got the motherboard manual? You'll probably have to set any clocking with jumper pins. _________________ I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass... and I'm all out of bubblegum. |

I'm assuming you checked either with the motherboard manufacturer or the place you bought the ram at that the ram is compatible with your system. Make sure if you have more slots than ram sticks that you put them in the slots in order from lowest number to highest number. Most are marked Dimm00 and Dimm01. _________________ Cower... in fear... as I demonstrate... my TRUE POWER!!!!

Actually i figured it out. It was the voltage, my mobo can only use 1.8v and the ram i had in there was 2.1. Go figure, fucking intel bastards. Cant set the voltage either bios blows for my board might get a nice gigabyte instead. |

Not a fan of amd, i find that their stuff is a lil more expensive then intel chips. But i usually buy them off ebay. But i do agree intel boards are pieces of limted non overclockable shit. |

Only Intel boards at home and company. Not to be overclocked, but to last.
Intel inside always |

I agree they can last a long time... thats one od the pros about my board. Very stable has great cooling and evrything. Just cant change that many options. So u get longlasting over options. |
