When browsing the forums, the title bar shows... almost nothing. Would it be hard to make it so the browser title bar shows the name of the thread you're looking at (if you're not looking at a thread, maybe show the forum title)? That would help quite a bit

It shows depending on how you view topics. If you do a search or posts since last visit, it does not display. If you browse the forums, it does.

Ah is that intended? I don't see a reason why it shouldn't show if you use "last visit" or something, safe technical issues. What usually happens is that I use the "...last visit" button and then open the ones I want to read in a new tab, and then proceed to actually read them, but it gets pretty confusing if I don't know what the thread is about *G* I find myself scrolling up the whole page pretty often, but that gets pretty tiresome if one reads 20+ topics in one bunch

I think that is a technical limitation in phpBB, but I'm not sure. Perhaps someone else can confirm that.

I think the title tag is part of the HTTP header. The headers can only be sent once, and they are set at the beginning of the HTML document. It really depends on how the pages are generated by PHP. Because of the modular structure of the entire application, it may be impossible to know the value of the title header before the list of topics is generated (that is a search result, btw).
Anyway, you can see the topic title right above the "New Topic" button.

Digi was right. Damn HTTP headers. The application was protecting itself from this for topic reference but not the post one.
Almost a copy and paste from topic to post preparation.
