The "Hi" stream is converted back to 128k MP3. I am testing it out to see if there will be a big difference in listenership.

Seems to be working. The listener count has more than doubled today, so far.

Of course it doubles our cost in bandwidth but maybe we'll get more than twice as many donations. We'll see. Thanks for your support!

Maybe you should change the text on the home page then, there's still something about mp3pro, which isn't required anymore if I understood you correctly...
Btw, listeners number went up like 200%

Yeah 128kbps Stream is more to my liking than MP3Pro (which also is very good), sounds better.
Hmm I'd like to do a donation but don't have paypal and I live in germany. Any ideas ?

Apart from that: Use ogg. Really. Sounds as good as mp3, but has only 1/2 the bandwidth.

It's because the bandwith. The "limit" has almost been reached and it is very expensive to go above the limit (at least this is what I know from german providers). Maybe we will have 128 kbps again the next month... maybe not :-/

If you have problems with mp3, you should try the ogg-Stream. It should work in any reasonable player, and the quality of the 64k-Ogg is as good as the one of 128k-mp3.

Yeah, it has always been this way, the ogg-stream is delayed... Jeric, something you can do about that? But I don't think it's a real problem...

There's nothing I can do about the delay. 64k mp3PRO also sounds just as good as the 128k.

We went back to 64k mp3PRO because we were reaching our bandwidth limit. And I also wonder how many of those 128k listeners were just stream ripping.
