Late response, sorry 'bout that, missed the thread, just discovered.
Congrats to Spain for the victory, they deserved it, combined art & passion.
German fuckin overpaid millionaires played crap the whole tournament
and should get punished for treason, lazy cowards, what a disgrace,
fortunately i'm not a patriot, only hate persons from mentioned reasons. |

It's just a game with a slightly odd looking round ball. It never ceases to amaze me how people get so fired up about sports teams. Its that way here, too, especially with our version of football. People get in fights and live and die over "their team" and its ups and downs. Long ago I was a sports fan, then one day it dawned on me. I don't know these guys, they don't know me and could give a rats ass if I was alive or dead. If they lose, the sun rises tomorrow without any regard to what happened to these celebrity athletes, and guess what, if they win the world is no different than if they lost. Its been probably near 20 years since I watched anything more than an occasional hockey or baseball game, and really didn't give a shit who won when I've watched. I guess we all need something to give our lives meaning, but getting rabid about the winning and losing of a sports team seems to me to be a bit unhinged.

Easy, easy with the elders. They are savvy and he reffers to Soccer as it is played in Amerika, gayishly. The best way to educate Amerikans at Futebol is by directing them to the Italian, Spanish, English or Brazilian league.
Now, there is a Football that deserves to be called that, Football, ...the Australian Football. Those are real men fighting with no protection to bodily injury.
