Well i don't live behind the moon as we say in German to express someone
isn't up to date, but kiddie or even emo language including non-common
abbreviations i don't want to need to adapt on my vocabulary every fuckin day.
Doesn't mean i want to bitch anyone, respect for all who join chat with less
knowledge but want to learn, but in mothers tongue i can expect at least
SOME sense or words which are listed in a dictionary and not mutilated
sentences to show coolness, that's for gangstarappers yo man.
Speak fuckin' English or die!!! |

I don't see why it's strictly English. The site is made up of people with some rather poor English skills, why not let them speak their first language.

As said i don't blame anyone with poor English skills except people from the
USA or other countries who only know one language, slang.
Difficult enough for noobies or others to understand some phrases no need
to increase the babylonian mayhem by using vocabulary what is not English anymore.

The reason why we have a "Strict" rule about English only is because all of the staff speak it and if we don't know what you are saying. If we can't understand what is being said how are we going to stop you if your harassing another member or being obnoxious. This is for all members benefit.
I don't have the time to go to babelfish or whatever translator you use to see what your saying, and most of the time the translation is bad so some things may be misunderstood.

@DOS: The site is in English, the community is multi-cultural. Death_Medic is right about the reasons of keeping the site strictly English. Not to mention that the top post of the locked thread seems to be written in BAD French.
We have nothing against the French people or against the French language, or any other language, for that matter, we just need to understand what's going on at any time. Not to mention that it's easier for everyone to understand each other even if many of us have poor English skills. At least we don't have poor (or non-existant) 100 languages skills.
