I have a complaint
When requesting albums Apparently you can only request 1 album per thread. What a load of shit.
There already is enough people request bands as it is. Why not if the band isnt on the website yet you can request all there albums to the website.
Because i have other requests from the same band and they have atleast 5-6 albums and its just easier to put it in the 1 album and update the topic saying 1/6 added 2/6 added or whatever.
This requesting 1 album is good if your requesting 1 album but if you want 2 or 3 more from the same album whats the point in flooding the request section even more?
Requesting 1 album per thread when i first joined 4 years ago would of been ok because there was not even 3k members here now theres 4 times that and there are more people requesting more bands on here and more spamming the boards. So to avoid that keeping the same albums in the same threads and if only 1 album gets added the moderator can get rid of the album info and the picture and keep the other one that hasnt been added yet. Thats the mods job and this way it makes sure there doing there job and not smouching off jeric for free rip lol |

Jeric decided on this back in early 2009.
It is easier to sift through single album requests to gather information.

Not all albums from the same band are equally eligible to be here, ex: early Samael and the shitty new Samael. Creating a new thread for the new request is simply copy/paste work, once you have created the initial form.

Have you been sleeping the past couple years? The reasons for this were discussed at length, and Pesa put a ton of work into the request tool to make it easier for everyone. The old multiple album threads were a pain in the ass for Jeric and the moderators.

It was a pain in the ass. We did a massive forum cleanup and that was one thing. It also allows us to move ones that have been added to the added forums. If there are more then one album listed it wouldn't get moved to the added and the request forums would be a mess again.

yeah fair enough i see from your point of you. I just thought Requesting album by album it would make the request forum even more threads then you can handle being that there is atleast 10 requests a day |

It's not really a matter of forum spam, it is related to the way JERIC processes the requests. It is impossible to keep track of the records by band, at least when all you have is forum topics. So JERIC has to add them by album and it's really a PITA to have to make partial adds - say, one of three requested albums - and then mark the ones that have been added, and make sure you don't buy them again so read the topics very carefully.
That's how the "Added" forum was created and also that's why the special topic format has been created for the requests forum - to help people use a standard format and to help JERIC manage the playlist better.
