I would put this in Ideas but it's not really something I'd consider anytime soon, just a thought that crossed my mind when reading the theme days suggestion:
Since people come here for different genres the library of artists could be split into two or three groups, ex. Black metal, Death metal, etc.
It came to mind because I was thinking of how fast the site is growing and that eventually the average queue length will double or perhaps triple.
By splitting into several streams you could choose the genre you want to hear and there would be seperate queues as well.
I can see flaws in it just reading it, but it wasn't a suggestion, just a strange thought I had to share  |

Naaa, I don't like that idea. It somewhat destroys the idea of a radio, where the people listening know they share the music with others. In the end, you'd probably end up with one stream for everybody, so that we're all alone listening to music 
As it is now, there's disagreement about what's played, but that's a good thing, there's a lot of discussion about what's-hot-and-what's-not, and people get to hear new stuff because others know about it and share by requesting...
