We just disconnected ours, saves around $35 a month. It seemed I was paying that $35 just so the telemarketers had a number to call. Cell is all we have now.

I have cell and VoIP. The VoIP/DSL modem is connected to the landline of course. But I just have to pay Internet fee.

That qualifies for what I said. I was talking about a traditional old fashioned telephone line. Our dsl of course still comes through that line.

I forgot to mention that my land line is probably some VoIP. I have fiber optic Internet access and the phone is connected to the same box.
I disconnected the old-fasioned line years ago.
