I have been getting a strange bug when my request becomes "Ready". Once I have waited for my request to be come "Ready" and I find a song that has status "Request Now" I click it and I get this "Error: You requested too soon."

I have tried asking other people if they can request it and they have no problems. I have tried refreshing the page, clearing my cookies, and using a different browser. It is not one particular song, it has happened with different songs.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I think there is some type of time delay in the system between songs that have been available to request for some time and those that have just become available to request again...I cannot be sure.

Yea, have that problem too.
I think this is related to the fact that after every other track come this "We'llreturn to the music in a moment..." ad or whatever it is.

It's not an ad, it's the station ID.

Has any of you noticed if you tried to request at the edge of the request wait time increase? Someone else might have clicked the request button a tad faster than you and the request wait could have been increased after his song was added to the queue. Usually, that's what's happening.

To give a quick example, let's assume you want to request when the queue is 2:25 long and you have 30 minutes request wait. If someone else requests a song that is longer than 5 minutes, say 8 minutes, the queue length will jump to 2:33 minutes when his song is added to the queue. The request wait is increased to 60 minutes once the queue length exceeds 2:30, and your request wait time will be 60 minutes instead of the 30 you started with. Hence, the "You requested too soon" message.

Imo it's not that Digi. I have experienced the same thing than tr1sth3t, sometimes when i watch the counter green "ready" i have clicked on and it says "Error: You requested too soon". but the request time has not increased and the green ready signal (on request time counter) keeps showing on, so after about 5 continue times i click on , the song is finally requested, and that issue has been happening since the nowadays Server problems.

I see. Then this one is hard to catch. I was just making sure it was not a typical "stolen click" situation.
Peace

Digi, I can take a guess as to what it is. I'll send you a PM.

Essentially, people should be making their requests after the next track begins at the top of the screen, and not before that, otherwise you'll get this error. The server will think you've requested, when really you haven't, and you'll have to wait another 30/60 minutes to request again.

Thanks, Smoke! That sounds like it's a trap! LOL
