They're middle of the road for me. I like a lot of their stuff and a lot of other ones bore me. And their recent cover artworks have been horrible

At first I was a little reluctant with Legion out, however nowadays I think Mortuus is one of the top BM vocalists. Kind of discrete work in Plague Angel, great job in Rom 5:12 but outstanding work in Wormwood. Gave a hole new breath and brought back some of the atmospheres seen in La Grande Danse Macabre. The band followed, creating some of the greatest passages such as in Into Utter Madness and Whorecrown.
Is my fav BM band at the moment and I can't wait to listen to Serpent Sermon.

For me it is the other way around; I don't have to be in the mood to listen to Marduk, can listen to it anytime! |
