While browsing through del.icio.us tags, I stumbled upon an interesting flash application called MusicMap. It's a search engine with a nice flash interface that displays the search results in a network, including related items. I think it uses amazon.com's web services.
Maybe you'd like to take a look:

Cool made site, to bad is not exact, and makes
some weird conections, like anything you search
the result is allways Iron Mayden . search example:
Mastodon--->IM---><---Dio---><---Pantera ???

Razy, I think those related items are based on amazon's statistics, like "people who bought this also bought that". Those do not necessarily represent similar artists.
