First things first, I'm NOT trying to convince anyone that this album should be on this station. I'm trying to talk to those who are a bit open-minded when it comes to their "precious metal". So plz, no comments like "I don't like this band 'cause they look gay", it's still the music that counts, no ?
Has anyone listened / bought this album of these youngsters ? Try to approach this album without prejudices. Believe me, I hate their "emo-look" and didn't like their previous albums either. This new album sounds damn good and it's incredibly catchy and addictive. No, the singer doesn't scream anymore like some metalcore-pussy. No, this isn't a groundbreaking album but what you do get is some great "tribute" to bands like Testament, Metallica (duh), Iron Maiden, Megadeth, ... (you get the idea, I suppose?). The Crusade also grows on you. I didn't like the songs "Detonation", "Entrance of the Conflagration" or "Anthem (We Are The Fire)" either on first listen (you can hear these songs online) but if you like the bands mentionned above, you might want to give this a chance. |

Well, i came to like Trivium. I think their latest album is a really good piece of metal. And i love Anthem now lol I cant get it out of my head!
Pretty good album imo

doesn't mean they're metalcore....
I almost would classify them as Nu-core 
cause of the fact most people that like Korn, Slip Knot,.... also like Trivium
most -core genres are quite different than Trivium (check Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban (the older tracks), Diecast Unit, Dillinger Escape Plan,....)

I don't like Trivium... that gay voice just pisses me off. I don't like those hardcore voices. And the new album LOL sounds like a rip off of Metallica.
I like Korn and Slipknot but I hate Trivium. Matt Heafy shouldn't wear those tight pants, then also his voice wouldn't be that weird

Everyone loves Trivium and this is what just makes me hate them more lol. I can't see why everyone loves them, they aren't that special... I bet most love them because they are young and look "good".

actually i dunno what they look like. never saw a freakin video of them or any pic. I like them and i even like some Metalcore bands. but who gives a damn about genres? only really retarded ppl imo do so! i listen to music i like. nuttin else.

I also listen to music I like... but I just hate that type of voice Trivium has and alot more bands have. I still do think his voice sounds like that because of his tight pants XD

I do give a damn about genres, it makes it a bit easier to organise my music collection. does that make me retarded?
the high voice.... oh well, Iron Maiden, Rhapsody, Kamelot, Stratovarius, .... also have it.
don't get pissed cause people like different stuff than you do 
nothing wrong with being open-minded
and I don't give a fuck how bandmembers look like, as long as they bring some decent music it's all fine with me.

nono... not that high voice more that "wuah wuah" voice. It sounds like hes sitting on toilet, trying to shit and sing at the same time
I usually don't give a fuck about their looks... otherwise I wouldn't listen to Strapping Young Lad 
But I just don't like their music and their look just makes it even worse and more laughable for me 
I only get pissed because on every board I go is a thread about Trivium.. "Trivium rocks" "Trivium is the new Metallica" it's all about Trivium nowadays lol

1. Theres no doubt nu-metal is a joke to metal, is not even metal,
why the hell is called nu-metal ? is shitty nu-rock
2. but metalcore  , i can believe it Dark, at least metalcore is metal,
