Some of you have probably listened to this album,it's also my case and i think i have never seen something so weeping in production, songwriting and quality.i fell in love with Falkenbach's sound just because it's cropped from Norse, ancient mythology, even though it's also the use of imagery in lyrics that makes them go beyond a lot of bands.I think falkenbach has chosen the right path though.
My first thought after listening to some tracks like "Walkiesjar" or "Havamal" was "okay"....i'm listening to it currently ,but after listening to "Heathen Foray","Of Forest Unknown" and "Roman land",i have arrived to the last conclusion...that this album is definitely amazing.Lyrics, attention and instrumentation are absolutely in equilibrium to form the best album i've ever heard... |

Yup, everything I heard from Falkenbach is great music with a very unique feel. On "Heralding The Fireblade" he recorded some songs from Old demos (Laeknishendr for example) and the early albums again because he wanted a better production for the songs - of course the demos aren't available anymore. In p2p networks you can still find the second one I think. _________________ o

Hails Olaf! From the first time I heard Falkenbach I knew it was special. I have all the CDs but one so far and they are all great in their own way. If you liked Heralding you should check out ...En Their Medh Riki Fara... next. Magni and Ok Nefna are also very good but En Their is the closest to Heralding IMO. |

I recently heard this CD and what a great CD, I've now heard a couple songs from the other CDs and every song I've heard is fantastic!! Very good all around music. I like the epic feel it has to it. |

Heralding was really the first Falkenbach album but was scrapped because of a bad recording time more or less. So these songs have had a long time to percolate. Some there are other versions of as well. |

I read on the official forums that he does not listen to much other music... that could be why. When you do it may influence you even subconsciously. |
