This is without a doubt one of their best work. Immortal has always been known as an amazing Black Metal band and has dropped some vital albums for a well-round metalhead's collection. Sons of Northern Darkness is one of the best Black Metal albums, if not just Metal, period, I've ever heard. It holds the place as one of the last albums to be recorded and produced by Hypocrisy frontman, Peter Tagtgren's legendary Abyss Studios. What an album to go out with. Frontman/Guitarist Abbath furthermore shows the unreal playing ability that has made him one of metals modern-day Riff Masters.

Immortal never stops producing some of the finest black metal music I've personally ever heard. This album sums up a dark feeling within, which is important to Immortal & the black metal genre. This is considered to be possibly one of the more "better" albums Immortal has ever produced. I purchased to show support to both my ears & Immortal. A treat for both \,,/
