Perhaps the wait should be the traditional time plus the length of your last request. This will increase the wait time for those that feel the need to clutter up the queue, but typical wait times will remain close to the same length for your average 4 or 5 minute song.
Thats my 2 cents... |

Perhaps VIPs should only have a request time of their last requested song... just another thought that will help keep request times and queue length from being abused but still being fair to the VIPs. |

In the market it's simple, if you want more, you have to pay more, so i
support the idea of request wait depending on the running time of a song.
As example, i don't like doom, 'cause it's booooooooring and sounds like a
neverending intro, unfortunately most songs are VEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERY
long, so it's just fair to prevent an immediate repeat of requesting more of
them. See also req nettiquette, i avoid to req long songs if queue is long,
some others don't.
In the music business it's usual to say "longtrack" from a duration of 7 mins,
so every song above should be paid with a doubled req wait imo.
Murder threats see my profile, fuck off.
Because i'm not a backstabber, i post this one to the chat too.

Please be aware of the queue length and try not to request long tracks when the queue is long. |

Now, please define "long queue", since it can't be shorter than 1 hour. Anyway, Lych's idea is interesting. Just keep in mind that it won't keep me from requesting loooooooooong doooooooooom sooooooongs, because i like them.
*searches for Blasph's profile and hopes that he likes, at least, the looooooong blaaaaaackkk sooooooongs*

This station is called Death.FM, not doom.FM, nothing against it in the
playlist, but you should have to pay for being greedy, for non-subscribers
its scaring to see a req wait of 2 hours, they turn off frustrated.
Just fair: 2 req's each 5 mins = 1 req of 10 mins, kay?
You get the same in both cases, but one of them has an unjust advantage.

look, Blasph, no offense meant, but the name of the station is not meant to be taken literally. on the other hand, i said i have no objections, right? i know damn well how frustrating it is to wait for 2 hours until a request gets played, but that did not turn me back, did it? on the contrary, i am now a subscriber because i want to contribute to keeping extreme metals alive. oh, and because i don't have to write down the time i made a request.

its a pretty good idea. if someone requests black rose immortal or whatever they should have to wait longer. i dont like the whole points idea tho.
but i do like it when my request wait is only 30 min. _________________ Eat my body, drink my blood.

Doesn't matter much to me, I don't request that much anyway. But when I do it's always a very high quality request. _________________ Not dead, just sleeping.
