The metal scene where I live is quite pathetic. We've had a few real bands come (Slayer, Megadeth, Trivium, Machine Head, Arch Enemy) but that's about it.
There's about 1 good local band I know of. They played as an opening for the Black Crusade concert, they were awesome. |

HIGH ON FIRE is probably the biggest. (I wouldn't consider Metallica part of the scene....or even metal)

AC DShe (all girl cover band), Lost Goat (who may not be around any more), Fucking Champs (prog metal). I think Exodus and Death Angel play shows every once in a while. |
