So, I guess the war is over as of today. I've held out and haven't bought either one, HD or Blu-ray, figuring one was going to be the betamax of 2008. Did any of you invest in one or the other? Just curious to see how many folks here now have a white elephant.

I was pretty sure that Blu-Ray would make it all the time. Why? Cooler name, more space, you name it  . Let's see how long it takes til you can get a Blu-Ray-Burner at a reasonable price.

Oh and afaik Disney also will only make their new stuff available only on Blu-Ray, not HD-DVD. But well, it is Disney, who cares?

When the porno industry announced its HD DVD option (a story about a supposed Sony blocking of "Adult Movies" on Blue-Ray), I had thought that the history would repeat itself and Sony would lose again.
Now, this surprising news
