"Putting the metal back into science". No, "Putting the science back into metal". Whatever... Fact is, I took a look at BoingBoing and found a very interesting article about how Nanoengineers created blackest-ever black metal .

Ha! Think I was the only one making mental connections between music and nanotechnology? Read the comments!

LOLLOL Cool

Hej,
Well that's much interesting, but as usual, we'll never to see application using that any soon.
I remember long time ago (around 2000), I saw that lotus-like surface, which no liquid nor any powder can stick too... Meaning you could put honey in some plate made like that and empty it 100% without anything else than a bit of gravity.

thnx digi for posting this..Im just so interested in science..all kinds..
for those interested and want to know more..
lets see..the blackest metal surface ever and its properties..in simple terms
which means it will absorb and emit more
light and heat due to its black body surface..according to Kirchhoff's law of thermal radiation. Since the engineers engineered such surface to capture
electrical and and magnetic particles of microwave..it must be very hot..
Hotter than any Black Metal surface on earth than can absorbed the tremendous heat.
