Hi!
In the anouncement-forum there is a longer discussion about the different sorts of streaming-formats. I don't want to repeat all arguments to continue the ogg and mp3 128k-Stream...I understand that bandwidth isn't cheap, but maybe it would be an idea to provide password-protected streams in higher quality to RIP-members and/or donators?
Many software-players allow to enter username and password for a stream - I don't know how complex the production of such a stream is... What's your attitude towards such an option?

Maybe i don't understand that bandwith thing. But as far as i know the bandwidth which is needed increases parallel to the users who are using it. And i don't think that theres a big difference if i'm using ogg or wma. (on the same bitrate of cause). |
